I’m that person who tells the server what is spelled wrong on the restaurant menu board. The person who suggests the optometrist get his eyes checked because there is no such word as WOMENS, which is printed on his bathroom door. The person who takes sticky notes and marks every single error in a new instructor workbook and mails it back to the publisher. Annoying, right? But when it comes to proofreading and editing YOUR materials, you WANT me to be that person.

I have a 20-year background in broadcasting, marketing, and public relations, followed by over 15 years as a college communications instructor. In all of these areas I have used my skills, my meticulous attention to detail, my strong work ethic, and my creativity to produce error-free products.

 

In addition, I have successfully completed the online training courses Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice™ and General Proofreading: Theory and Practice™, both of which required intense module studies, training, and exhaustive testing for complete accuracy. The courses also provided over 3,000 pages of practice transcripts and sample work, resulting in hours and hours of experience at professional proofreading. All of this knowledge, experience, and training combined means I will make sure your work is correct, done the way you want it, and I’ll deliver it on time.

When I’m not voraciously reading and correcting everyone’s mistakes, I enjoy traveling, watching and playing sports, cheering on Auburn University (War Eagle!), volunteering regularly at a therapeutic riding facility for kids with special needs, and high fiving all my fellow left-handers.
